The Maker’s Decisions at the ENgaGE Symposium

As THE MAKER’S DECISIONS LTD, we are proud to have participated in the ENgaGE Symposium, an initiative of the South-East Europe Programme / ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy) which brings to the forefront a critical and timely issue: the intersection of gaming and extremism.

The symposium took place today, June 26, 2025, at the European Parliament Office in Athens (Vasilissis Amalias Avenue), and it is the first event in Greece dedicated exclusively to the risks of extremist activities in the realm of online gaming.

As part of the GEMS Project and serving as the inaugural event of the European Network Against Gaming-Related Extremism (ENgaGE), the symposium brought together policymakers, law enforcement authorities, gaming industry representatives, and academics.

The program included:

3 thematic panel discussions
A special session on Artificial Intelligence tools against extremism
Highlight of the day: The presentation of the Watchtower Tool, an innovative AI solution developed by the GEMS Project, designed to detect and prevent extremist activities within the digital worlds of online games.

Aiming to enhance the safety of young people in online communities, this tool will support both European authorities and the gaming industry in the fight against radicalization.
